UK Fox ESS solar generation stats: June 2026 in review

Solar generation

June 2026 produced 825.8 kWh, an average of 27.5 kWh/day. That is down from May’s 892.1 kWh (−7.4%), with more cloud and a run of weaker days mid-month before a stronger final week.

Week 4 was the strongest of the month - five days in a row above 34 kWh as high pressure settled in.

19 June was the peak day at 42.6 kWh - a clear day where the array covered the full house load from morning onward. The weakest day was 11 June at 8.2 kWh, showing the spread you can get even in high summer.

Grid export

June exported 521.1 kWh, or 63.1% of generation. That is a slightly higher export share than June 2025’s 61.3% - both batteries were close to full most mornings from overnight off-peak charging, leaving little headroom to store solar before it went to the grid.

That round-trip figure is unusually high for a single month and mostly reflects rounding over a small cycle total rather than a real efficiency gain - the year-to-date figure sits closer to 95–97%, which is normal for lithium storage. Batteries cycled lightly in June; with generation covering daytime load, most cycling came from off-peak overnight charging and evening peak discharge.

Generation was down slightly year on year - 2026 had a weaker second week - but the peak day was higher than 2025’s best, and export held almost flat. The extra battery capacity added in November 2025 shows up as higher monthly cycling volume even with marginally lower generation.

Year to date

Through 8 July, 2026 has generated 3,760.5 kWh, exported 2,463.8 kWh, and cycled 1,333.5 kWh into the batteries. That is close to the entire first partial year (May–December 2025: 3,891.8 kWh). June was the third-highest month of the year so far, behind April and May.
