# Fox Cloud login and Check My Solar

You do not type your Fox password into Check My Solar when using **Quick Connect**; you sign in on **Fox Cloud** and approve access.

Alternatively, paste an **API key** you create in Fox Cloud. Steps: [Linking your inverter](/docs/getting-started/linking-your-inverter/) · [Get your Fox ESS API key](/docs/getting-started/get-api-fox-ess-cloud-key/).

Then open **[Check My Solar](https://checkmy.solar)**.
