# See solar production in real time (Fox ESS)

“Real time” here means the latest values your inverter reports through **Fox Cloud** (not a direct connection to the roof). For **Fox ESS H1 G2** owners who want faster updates on the Today view, an optional [Modbus Bridge](/docs/using-the-app/modbus-bridge/) can read the inverter directly on your home network.
