# Changelog

## Summer 2026

#### Added

- **Leaderboard** - Compare your solar stats with the community. Opt in to share generation, battery, and efficiency metrics, view global and country rankings by month or year, and share your profile via a public link.
- **Grid outage alerts** - Get push notifications when your inverter detects a grid power loss or restoration. Emergency Power Supply (EPS) status is shown in the energy flow diagram and device view.
- **Weather-based solar forecasts** - Forecasts can now use regional weather models matched to your rooftop location, with options to tune DC efficiency and max inverter AC power.
- **Dashboard customisation** - Choose your preferred power units, motion settings, history defaults, forecast chart style, timezone, and default inverter from a single settings panel.
- **Customisable mobile tab bar** - Pin your most-used sections to the bottom tabs and access the rest from the sidebar.
- **History breakdown redesign** - Month and year views show a scannable timeline with weekly or quarterly grouping, best/low insight chips, a calendar heatmap, and a chart graph mode. Filter by Solar, Battery, Load, or Grid, and see month-over-month comparison badges.
- **Work mode and scheduler** - View your inverter's current work mode in the energy flow section and open a detailed scheduler showing all configured time segments, power limits, and SoC targets.
- **Financial insights redesign** - Finances show a plain-language summary of your net result, what you would have spent without solar, and separate peak/off-peak breakdowns.
- **Notification style preference** - Choose between detailed contextual notifications or compact raw-data summaries for daily and weekly reports.
- **Forecast confidence range** - An info button next to Confidence range explains the likely generation band in plain language, including why it is tighter or wider on some days.
- **Forecast heat loss** - An info button next to Heat loss explains how hot sunny days trim forecast output, what the kWh figure means, and that it is already included in the headline estimate.

#### Fixed

- **Charts refinements** - Large values display in MWh, grid import/export cost and credit calculations are more accurate, today's chart excludes incomplete future hours, and the energy filter includes Load and Grid.
- **Self-sufficiency accuracy** - Fixed daily reports showing 0% self-sufficiency when hourly energy-flow data was incomplete. Battery discharge is now correctly attributed between house load and grid export.
- **Peak/off-peak scaling** - Peak and off-peak kWh values now match Fox monthly report totals, fixing discrepancies caused by hourly bucket rounding.

#### Changed

- **Solar forecast** - The clear-sky comparison card is temporarily removed; the main forecast view is unchanged, and the comparison may return in a future update.
- **Today’s day totals (Fox inverters)** - The server now uses your inverter’s month report to derive today’s figures, so daily totals for the current day are more accurate and consistent.
- **Dashboard** - Smoother day and range handling, clearer date field formatting, and day navigation that’s easier to see and use.
- **Device details** - Simpler layout with less noise when you open a device.
- **Charts** - Wording for solar-at-home and self-consumption stats is easier to read at a glance.
- **Dashboard & device views** - Day view, improved date navigation (including yesterday), loading skeletons, smoother charts and scrolling, and a more stable device tab (less flicker).
- **Energy flow** - Clearer power source status (solar, battery, grid, import) and updated wording (“Importing from grid” instead of older labels).
- **App icon notification badge** clears when you open the app, so the count does not linger after you have caught up.
- **Automatic app updates** for new versions are now available for iOS devices running version 3.0.0 or later.
- **Refreshed Live Activity design** for clearer, more readable energy stats on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
- **Dynamic Island (expanded) now includes battery power details** for quicker at-a-glance status.
- **Faster Dashboard Loading** - Live Energy Flow now renders immediately on page load while charts, totals, and financial data load concurrently in the background.
- **Battery Status in Small Widget** - The small battery widget now shows a dynamic status (CHARGING / DISCHARGING / FULL / IDLE) instead of a static label.
- **Empty State Handling** - Solar card and Self-Consumption/Self-Sufficiency cards now display helpful messages or hide automatically when no data is available.
- **Relative Time Display** - Fox Cloud update timestamps now show relative time (e.g. "2 minutes ago") instead of exact timestamps.

#### Fixed

- **Fox Cloud** - Clearer messages when the service is rate-limited or returns errors; forecast data refreshes when you open the forecast section.
- **Solar forecasting** - Forecast data is fetched more gracefully when the upstream service is busy or rate-limited.
- **Feedback** - Timeouts and validation so submissions are more reliable.
- **Email magic-link sign-in** is less likely to lose your progress if you switch away from the app before finishing.

- **Live Activity no longer gets stuck showing “Updating…”** when you reopen the app.
- **Live Activity won’t restart after it has ended** (for example, when solar production drops to zero).
- **Widgets and Live Activity behave more reliably during brief data staleness**, continuing to show your last known values.
- **Today view refreshes more reliably when you return to the iOS app**, so current data updates more consistently.
- **Solar forecast setup** - Fixed panel aspect and angle when configuring your forecast site.
- **CT2 Meter Display** - Fixed CT2 meter power being shown as a separate label instead of combined into solar total.
